Le Murmure des Égarés

Le Murmure des Égarés brings together images and sounds made in Iceland in the spring of 2024. Aurélia Frey and Emmanuel Faivre followed in the footsteps of Breton fishermen who left to fish cod in the icy waters of Iceland, some of whose schooners landed in the cod port of La Rochelle. Their aim is to recall these "Icelanders", many of whom never returned home. To make their voices heard, if only in a whisper... Le Murmure des Égarés. Le rendu, escale de travail, is an immersive visual and sound installation. It invites the viewer to wander amidst curtains, a support for projection and photographic prints, in a multidiffusion of sound that invites the viewer into a poetic and sensitive encounter. Between nature, nature-death, land and sea, an invitation to cross oceanic and human memories takes shape.
