The city of La Rochelle and its surroundings are steeped in history and inspire the imagination. Strolling along the seafront, the eye is drawn to the strange iron objects that emerge from the water for oyster farming. The structures seem mystically invaded by seaweed and other vegetation. Then the gaze turns to larger structures rising from the water - war bunkers. They are part of history, surrounded by marine vegetation. The bunkers protruding from the sea resemble trenches, bunkers and abandoned houses in Lithuanian forests. On La Rochelle's waterfront, people sunbathe and climb over these cement structures, finding new uses for them. Nature slowly assimilates them. This process manifests itself in hybrid ecology, where people, buildings and plants coexist in dependence on one another. What might these structures become in the future?
