Port-au-Prince et sa douce nuit (Port-au-Prince and its sweet night) takes us on a journey through a city, a night and a time. The time of a couple in love who, a few years ago, were able to walk through the night, loving each other in a broken city, but who in the evening still left room for the dream of a better tomorrow. The play deals subtly with the impossibility of living in the country, and speaks of the current unbearable security situation through words of love. How do you love yourself in a city that's falling apart? How can you love your city and contemplate its imminent departure to avoid dying? As part of its international policy to support literature, ALCA Nouvelle-Aquitaine is setting up a residency program for international authors. In partnership with the Institut des Afriques, Les Francophonies - Des écritures à la scène, La Maison des écritures - Centre Intermondes de La Rochelle, and with the support of the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, ALCA Nouvelle-Aquitaine runs a writing residency program for French-speaking authors from Africa and Haiti. _
